Vitamin D absorption and body storage:

Fat and bile juices help absorb vitamin D, it enters blood circulation through the lymphatic vessels and is stored in the liver in small quantities.

Vitamin D deficiency:

It affects calcium absorption and poor bone formation which leads to osteoporosis in adults and rickets in children.

Treatment for Vitamin D deficiency:

Take high doses 1000 – 5000 IU per day for a month, then the dose is reduced to 800 IU for 6 months.

Increase in Vitamin D intake:

It is accompanied by symptoms of poisoning such as vomiting, loss of appetite and diarrhea.
