Factors affecting the burning rate
  1.  Body size: the larger the body size, the higher the burning rate
  2.  Body composition: an athletic body is full of muscles and has a higher rate of burning
  3.  Age: the rate of burning increaser during period of growth, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and gradually decreases with age
  4.  Gender: the burning rate in males is 10% higher than females
  5.  High body temperature: the rate of burning increases by 7 per degree Fahrenheit
  6.  Body health: the rate of burning decreases during hunger and malnutrition and increases in some diseases; such as cancer, tuberculosis and burns.
  7.  Hormones: an increase in the thyroxin hormone increase the rate of burning and vice versa
  8.  Climate: the rate of burning increases in hot weather
  9.  Psychological situation: anxiety and stress increase the rates of burning

Energy balance: it’s a state of evenness of the amount of energy that the body obtains from food with the energy necessary for a person to perform the daily efforts, when the body’s food consumption exceeds its need for energy, it is exposed to obesity because the excess energy is stored in the body as fats.

Obesity: when the body consumes more food than it needs daily, it leads to serious diseases if it’s not treated early. Obesity is also known as an increase in the body mass index above 25 (BMI)

Body mass index = (height in meters) 2 / weight in kg

Normal proportion in males is 20-25

Normal proportion in females is 19-20
