Preparation of the surgery
Making the decision to undergo bariatric surgery will change the entire course of your life. It requires several adjustments in your lifestyle like eating habits, physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption.

- DIETING BEFORE THE SURGERY
The Necessary Examination
- Heart picture (if above the age of 50).
- Some clinical exams.
- Consult you medical team if you have any chronic diseases to adjust medications and doses.
- Consult with your nurse to pre and post-surgery procedures.
- Shaving the operation area (abdomen area) is not allowed.
- You can shower the morning of the operation without the use of lotions, perfumes, make-up, nail polish and do not wear any jewellery or accessories.
PRESURGICAL TESTING
After a 12-hour fast, abdominal ultrasound and echocardiogram (cardiac echo) tests are performed.
CBC – CT,BT,Prothrombin – urea,creatinine – FBS – SGOT,SGPT – triglycerides,cholesterol TSH, T3 T4 – hepatitis B&C
